This is not really a “recipe” at all but rather a simple combination of two delightful ingredients!

Here’s what you’ll need:
Raw Cocoa Powder (1 tbsp per cup)
Rice Milk (or soy, oat, almond or what ever you prefer)
A Spoon (for mixing and dosing)
First off, pour the milk into your cup, then pour it into the pot. This servers as an accurate measure for how much you need to make. Serving for more than just yourself? Add additional cups equal to the amount of friends 😀
Just before the milk starts boiling, add the cocoa powder. It won’t mix very well with cold fluids. But try to avoid the boiling point all together, since some vegan milks act weirdly if they get too heated. Buy quality products to avoid this problem.
And there you go! It takes 10 minutes MAXIMUM to make, and the result is a fairly bittersweet drink. Just how the ancient Mayans drank it (though they used water instead).
The natural sugars from the milk provides enough sweetener to leave out the addition of sugar or stevia, making this a very healthy version of hot chocolate.
You can add some crushed chili and/or raw vanilla to the mix if you need some extra depth.
